How long until you receive edited wedding photos in Vietnam
By the Cáo Studio team · Hanoi & Saigon · 2026-11-02
Edited wedding photos from Cáo Studio arrive within 2–4 weeks after your shoot date. The timeline depends on shoot length (a 4-hour couple session edits faster than a full-day pre-wedding), number of final images, editing style (natural colour correction vs. styled moods), and our current workload during high season (October–December and Lunar New Year). During quiet periods, galleries land in 10–14 days; peak season stretches to 3–4 weeks. You receive a private online gallery with download links; raw files are available only upon request and incur additional time. Our Hanoi and Saigon teams coordinate deliveries, and rush editing (7–10 days) is sometimes possible—ask when you book. We keep you updated via WhatsApp with progress photos after 5–7 days. What determines how fast you get your edited photos?
Turnaround speed is not fixed. A quick couple session in District 1, Saigon—two hours, 150–200 final images, neutral colour grade—edits in 10 days. A multi-day pre-wedding shoot across Hanoi, Hoi An and Ninh Binh with 800+ keepers, thematic filters and custom artwork takes 4 weeks. We prioritize by shoot date and complexity, not payment size. Peak season (October–December) consistently adds 7–10 days because our three editors handle concurrent shoots. Solo travellers usually see galleries first; wedding couples wait longest if they've booked multiple locations or concept layers.
Our studio decision: we schedule edits in order of shoot completion, not booking order. A guest who shoots on 1 November will receive edits before someone who booked first but shot on 10 November.

How many images do you actually get in an edited gallery?
We deliver 60–70% of all shots taken. A 4-hour couple photoshoot in Tao Đàn Park or around Hoan Kiem Lake typically yields 200–250 raw frames; you receive 120–160 edited (no duplicates, no blinks). A full-day elopement or pre-wedding coverage can generate 600–800 raw images, of which 400–500 make the final gallery. We cull immediately after shooting—in the car, on the camera—so editors inherit only viable frames. This culling step saves editing time and means you never see half-closed eyes or blurred hands.
We do not pad galleries with semi-usable shots to boost image count. Our Hanoi and Saigon teams use the same selection standard: sharp, well-composed, emotionally clear or visually striking.
What happens during your first week after the shoot?
Days 1–2: You receive a brief preview message on WhatsApp with 3–5 selects so you know the shoot worked. We ask if you want any adjustments to colour tone or composition style (e.g. "warmer tones for our Ao Dai shots," "desaturated background on the proposal frame"). Days 3–5: Lead editor pulls all culled images into Lightroom, applies studio preset, then flags any that need custom work (skin smoothing, object removal, sky replacement). Days 5–7: First round of editing finishes; you get a second WhatsApp check-in with 10–15 samples at final quality. Days 7–10: Editor refines based on your feedback and batch-processes the rest. This is when most galleries land during off-season.
Why the delay feels long: editing one frame takes 2–4 minutes after culling. A 400-image gallery requires 13–27 hours of editing time, spread across two editors over 5–7 work days.
What changes in peak season versus quiet months?
| Scenario | Typical turnaround | Reason | Your action |
|---|---|---|---|
| May–August (quiet) | 10–14 days | Light workload; fewer bookings | Book standard timeline, ask for rush if urgent |
| September–December (peak) | 21–28 days | 4–6 concurrent shoots; Saigon busier than Hanoi | Plan further ahead; book early if you need fast delivery |
| Lunar New Year (early Feb) | 25–35 days | Team partly offline; holiday volume spikes | Expect delays; book January if possible |
| Typhoon season Ho Chi Minh (Sept–Nov) | ±2 days added | Weather reschedules push editing calendar | Accept alternate dates early |
Peak season workload is real. October sees ao dai photoshoots, couple sessions, and family groups all shooting around Hanoi's golden hour. Saigon office handles more destination packages—proposal shoots at riverside venues, vacation photoshoots from expats. Editors prioritize chronologically, not by package tier.

Can you speed up delivery, and what does it cost?
Rush editing (7–10 days) is available during off-season; ask when you book. We do not offer 48-hour delivery—two days is not enough to cull, edit and deliver 150+ images without errors. We also do not publish turnaround dates on the main site because seasonal variation makes a single promise untrustworthy.
When you request rush:
- We move your gallery to the front of the queue.
- You receive fewer progress check-ins (one preview after 3 days, final gallery on day 7–10).
- You waive requests for major edits (colour regrade, retouching changes).
- Delivery still depends on editor availability; if two other couples are in 7-day rush, yours may stretch to 9–10 days.
Ask about rush timing when you message us. Do not assume it is available in December.
What if you need the photos for a specific deadline (wedding book, album, print)?
Tell us your deadline when you book. We build backwards from that date. If your pre-wedding shoot is 25 October and you need prints by 10 November, the gallery must land by 5 November, leaving 5 days for print vendor processing. We factor this in during scheduling—our Hanoi studio may coordinate with Saigon to split edits, or we defer other bookings.
If your deadline is unmovable (e.g. your wedding album must print 10 days after the shoot), choose a quiet month or book a rush slot. We will tell you honestly if it is not possible.

What to check before you book: your timeline checklist
- Shooting date: Confirm it matches our calendar (avoid Lunar New Year unless flexible).
- Editing deadline: Tell us immediately if you need photos for a print vendor, album designer, or social announcement by a specific date.
- Image count expectations: Understand that a 2-hour solo shoot yields 80–120 edited images; a full-day family photoshoot yields 300–400.
- Revision rounds: We include one round of edits (tone, crop, light adjustments). Major overhauls (full retouch, sky replacement) cost extra and add 3–5 days.
- Delivery format: Galleries arrive as a private online link with full-resolution downloads. Printing partners can download directly; you do not need to export files.
- Raw files: We do not include raw files automatically. If you want them, mention it in advance.
- Backup storage: Download your gallery immediately after we send it. We keep backups for 90 days; after that, we remove them to free server space.
Why 2–4 weeks is realistic (not a minimum).
We edit in Lightroom, not Photoshop. Each image gets colour grading, exposure balancing, and skin smoothing but not layer-by-layer retouching. This approach keeps turnaround fast and costs lower than fully retouched work. A truly custom retouch (blemish removal, scar cover, body reshaping) adds 7–10 days and is billed separately. We assume most clients want natural editing—slight warm tone, even skin, sharp eyes—which is what the 2–4 week timeline reflects.
During peak season, every editor runs a queue. We do not hire freelancers mid-October; we hire in June and train them through September. This means capacity is capped, and late-December bookings may not fit the promised timeline.
Our principle: under-promise, over-deliver. If we say 3 weeks, we aim for 14 days so you feel surprised by speed, not frustrated by delay.

FAQ
Do you charge more for faster editing?
Rush editing (7–10 days) is available off-season by request; ask when you book. Peak-season rush is often impossible. Prices are listed on vietnamphotoshoot.com; we do not inflate fees for speed, but availability is limited.
Can I see unedited photos while waiting for the gallery?
Yes. After 5–7 days, we send 5–10 preview samples on WhatsApp so you know the shoot succeeded. Full gallery arrives when editing is done, not sooner.
What if I don't like the editing style when the gallery arrives?
One round of adjustments is included—colour tone shift, brightness, crop changes. Major changes (full retouch, artistic overhaul) require additional time and cost extra. Mention your style preferences when you book so editors align with your vision.
How long do you keep the photos on your server after delivery?
We store galleries for 90 days after delivery. Download your full gallery immediately to your device or cloud storage. After 90 days, we remove them to free server space.
Can I request raw files instead of edited photos?
Raw files are available upon request but require additional editing time (5–7 days) for basic processing into a usable format. Mention this when you book so we can schedule it properly.
What if I need to reschedule my shoot?
Reschedules push back your editing timeline by the number of days delayed. A shoot moved from 1 November to 15 November will have edits arrive 2 weeks later than originally planned. Let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust the editing calendar.
